Mike (and Olga)

I thought I would wait a few days and let others have the first say. I think Smoov speaks for many who enjoyed seeing your New Year article, or seeing it again after a year or two. As I write, the article has been read 165 times, which puts it up with the most popular articles on the site!

For my part, I was happy when you asked me if your articles could find a new home here, whether it is to be temporary or permanent. I had a great affection for their previous home and I know that delicate negotiations took place (in fact I insisted on it) to make sure that toes were not being trodden on in the move!

So thank you for entertaining the readers of this blog with your wit and humour: like Smoov I look forward to the next one, which is scheduled for 1st February.

February - another good one from Mike and Olga!

I remember Tytex when they first came out around 1970. I think they were advertised in the Reader's Digest. I did not dare to order any, of course. I discovered that a packet of Tytex was sold on E-bay last year for £1.99. I missed it, otherwise I would have made a bid. Keep looking in the charity shops, Mike – that is where you may find them.

The pics were funny. The one of the nuns had me in stitches! As for the Family Planning one, the less said about that the better. TMI, I say.

I don't understand the history of Mike & Olga. Is Olga even a real person?
