I have not written much recently, for various reasons. One is that Blog City have now released Version 6 of the software. Mainly it affects the editors, who now have a new admin interface, so I have had to learn my way around again!
But there are some changes for readers too. For example, the photo album looks different. The layout is better and the photo display is quite specatcular! Have a look.
But the biggest change is to the private pages. Hitherto, people would ask me for a password to the private pages and I would give them one if they met the criteria. Now, admission to the private pages is solely through Blog City accounts. That means that if you are a private page subscriber and have not yet got an account, you will have to get one. You do not have to have a blog, or even a profile (but it would be good if you put something in your profile). You do have to have a Blog-City account and password. I cannot help you if you lose your password - but Blog-City may be able to do so.
A word about the private pages: The majority of pages on this blog are freely available to anyone who visits the site. This is not an X-rated site, and there is no X-rated material here, but there are things that are of a more personal or sensitive nature that I prefer to have a little more control over.
I have therefore published some entries as 'private', which means that they can only be read by members. The private pages are now completely invisible to the public, but I will be putting up a link for members.
Membership is for people I trust and have confidence in. For example:
I do not give out memberships to people I do not know, so please do not ask.
To get an invitation to the private pages, you have to give me your e-mail address. (If you have not trusted me with your e-mail address, how do you expect me to trust you with access to my private pages?) It goes without saying that e-mail addresses are confidential.
I have to write to each member inviting them to the private pages. Please be patient while I do this.
