Update to Version 5

Welcome to Version 5! Geraden comes kicking and screaming up to date!
I am setting down my first thoughts on what has happened so far.
The basic layout was not too difficult, though it is VERY different from what I was before. I have decided to ditch the light text on dark background completely. I abandoned it for the main blog entries last year with my ring-binder style (of which I must admit was very proud). Most fetish sites use light on dark, and I want there to be no doubt that this is not one of those.
The blog entries have transferred without problems so far – a lot of the formatting I put in for Version 4 has simply been ignored, but actually that is not a bad thing, given the change of look.
I have gone for a simpler layout – so there is not room for all that I had before on the main page. Most of it will come back somehow, when I figure out how. Some will be in the footer (I couldn't have a footer before) and some will be somewhere else.
It looks as though the menu has gone for good. There does not seem to be that facility in V5, though I might discover it yet, if it is there.
I do not know what has happened to the private pages and to Mike and Olga. I am working on that one.
So far so good. Please comment on the layout, style, content etc and I will try to please as many people as I can.

I am very glad you hung in there for us. We appreciate the hard work. It
wouldn't be the same if I didn't have this blog to go to for words of
wisdom truth and honesty. Simply put, you have taste.
It looks good to me, and seems just as easy to navigate. Well done for
getting it up and running - glad you're still here!
Wonderful work. The blog looks great. Congratulations… I hope you did not
get too many gray hairs figuring out the new software.
If there was one thing I would change though, it would be the brightness of
the background. It is now pure white (100%), but how would you feel about
making it say 90%?. Just a thought.
