In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Currently in at TKMaxx:

Charnos Jerry Hall range: Boardroom / Party / Premiere / Retail Therapy; S / M / L , £12.00 and £15.00 reduced to £3.99
Levante Class and Eclipse: Tall, mainly creme, £3.50 and £4.50 reduced to £1.99
Emilio Cavalline fashion tights (various designs): one size £7.00 reduced to £2.99 or £3.99
Oroblu Trend: Jupiter (animal skin design), Chasma (vine design), Instant (argyle), Planette (vertical stripes) small/medium, £13.00 reduced to £3.99
Oroblu Master 7 den CT size 3 (Large) in nude, black and sable £5.50 reduced to £1.99
Pamela Mann Velvet Footless one size red, and 40 den opaques chocolate, £5.00 reduced to £2.99

These were seen by me recently in my local TKMaxx. Since the stores tend to have similar stock, you will probably find much the same in your local branch.

I did not buy anything on this occasion – I nearly did, though. I found a pair of patterned opaques – beige background, fine black pattern like a vine. The softness and silkiness of the tights was amazing. They reminded me most in texture of Levante Brillante opaques but with a stunning pattern added. They were not in a packet, and originally I thought that they were part of the Emilio Cavallini range, though in truth they were better quality than any EC that I have seen. That would have made them £2.99, and they seemed to stretch quite a lot, so I decided to buy them. There was indeed an empty EC packet nearby, so I slipped them in.

Oroblu Chasma designHowever as I looked further I realised that they were not EC at all, but Oroblu, and the product name was Chasma. This put them in the £13 reduced to £3.99 category – an even better bargain! Unfortunately the correct packet (which I found) indicated that they were only size S. They did not look small, but I decided I could not risk it. But they are a lovely design and super feel.

The picture does not really do them justice, but it is the only one I could find. (Remember that the ones I saw were beige, not blue.)

I really like your color scheme here! Yellow and green, that works well for you. I'm going to see what my comment looks like when it shows up -- thx for your help on the Blog-City forums!

Update on the previous entry:

On a recent visit to Tkmaxx I found that those Oroblu Chasma tights had still not been sold. They had lost their packet and they were in a cellophane bag which was informatively labelled 'hosiery'. They had been reduced to £1.99. So I bought them, not that I seriously intended to wear them, but just because I liked them.

I have tried them on, and do you know, they just about fit! No way are these size small. I would say that they are size large, the second largest size. And no, I haven't taken a pic of my legs in them. And if I do, it will be in the private pages!

My 22 year old was going out clubbing today. She was wearing some lacy net tights with a black flowing skirt, and a dull greenish gold top. She was not sure about the tights, and asked me if they went all right. I said they were fine, but if she wanted an alternative I had just the thing. I offered her the Oroblu Chasma tights, which would have complemented her outfit nicely. And they would have kept her legs a whole lot warmer than open knit nets.

Unfortunately she did not like the tights I offered her. She said the pattern would be great for a tie, but not as tights. I did suggest she wore them around her neck, but in the end that idea did not appeal. So she went out in her lacy net tights after all.

Finally a picture of these lovely Oroblu Chasma tights as worn:

The model (my friend Ash) is 5'10" tall and the tights fit perfectly, with a bit of stretching as you put them on. Comment: "Well, they are different!" You can clearly see the border stripe, which goes down the outside and inside of the legs.
