Well, it looks as though it might have sprung at last. The Spring, that is. Yesterday was distinctly Aprilish - bright sunshine and drenching showers here in Birmingham. My wife was in Staffordshire and said that hail stones the size of hazel-nuts were falling there for a time. (Was that what the weather girl meant when she said it would rain solidly?)
But hail showers aside, it is quite a bit warmer, and time to venture out again with legs uncovered. Not totally uncovered of course (I'm not a masochist) but uncovered except for a thin layer of nylon. Yay! You would not want to see my legs totally uncovered anyway - they are not a pretty sight. It is amazing how much better even sheer nylon can make legs look.
I went down to the paper shop this morning in my shorts and tights, a trip round the block of about three quarters of a mile. Admittedly I was wearing knee-length shorts and 50 denier tights, but one has to start again somewhere! The tights were Capezio body tights in beige, a slightly tanny skin tone, obvious if you were paying any attention to my legs. But men do not usually pay attention to each other's legs - women might do, but either way, there were no looks or comments from anyone I passed in the street or met in the newsagent's.
Capezio make a number of varieties of body tight with different foot options - these (style number 1820) are ordinary footed tights, but you can get footless or convertible feet as well. These body tights do not stop at the waist; they go right up under the armpits, and a couple of thin straps hold them up over the shoulders. They are a bit higher in the back than the packet image suggests. It is nice not to have a waistband for a change. They are very soft, stretchy and warmer than normal tights because they are made of nylon/supplex rather than nylon/lycra. They are of course made for dancers, but although they are dense enough to be classed as opaques, they are too thin to be worn without any other covering in the private area.
Overall I quite like them, as something slightly different. They fit well, even on my elongated form. They have a matt feel but a slight sheen at the same time. The retail price is about £16.40, but I got them for £5.00 in a clearout.
