In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Spotting

Geradenby Geraden

Sunday morning, early (well, about 8 o'clock) walk round the block to the newsagent's. I usually wear tights and shorts for this trip, and so I did today.

Off-black opaques from BhS, indigo coloured shorts just above the knee (I bought some black shorts, but I thought they might be too short - I wish I had worn them now), black t shirt, dark blue trainers, white sports socks scrunched down. Not perfectly colour co-ordinated, but close enough.

Walking quickly, as I do when I am alone. I reckon I walk at about 4½ miles per hour. I measured my stride the other day and found that it is 1 metre – gosh! But useful for pacing things out.

Half way down the hill on the main road, I see a runner coming towards me, running. Dressed fairly similar to me, but his shorts are short enough to be running shorts, and he has dark socks and trainers on. I think he has on a polo shirt, not a t shirt, but dark like mine. Oh yes, and he is wearing black opaque tights: they appear to be around 40 denier. I don't think they are running tights – they are sheerer than that, and they look like normal opaques.

I see quite a few runners out and about, but this is the first man I have seen wearing tights. He was in his late twenties, I would guess, and his legs looked good – not that I am a judge of male legs.

No, we did not speak. I think he must have noticed my tights, as they were as obvious as his.

It is hard to strike up an conversation with someone who is running towards you – and maybe they don't want their exercise to be disturbed.

But good for you, mate! The more men that go out like this, whether for exercise or just to fetch the newspaper, the better. It raises awareness that men too have legs that can be enhanced (for warmth, fitness or just for looks) by the right sort of legwear.

Yes, I have seen runners and cyclists wearing what appears to be opaque tights as opposed to what I can only describe as over priced cycle/running sports wear, certainly if you are going to be running cross country and you snag a pair of running tights at £50.00 you are going to be a bit upset, but a pair of opaques that maybe be a couple of pounds, if that, is much less of a problem, they work just as well.
