Following my recent review of the Seidenglatt 15 tights, I must mention the my other good find from Falke. These are the Shelina tights: supposedly 12 denier in appearance, they look sheerer than this to me, though for warmth they are more like 15 deniers.
The Shelina tights are sheer to waist, with flat seams and sandal toe. The 3% lycra is only in the waistband. The colour I got was not stated, but was probably coffee, - quite noticeable on my legs. In a pale skin tone colour like poudre, they would be fairly invisible.
The available colours are black, brasil (light tan with reddish tones), bronze (deeper tan with yellowish tones), coffee, ebony (a brown slightly darker than coffee), indio (no, that is not a typo for indigo, but a mid-brown colour that would go well with Mediterranean and Asian skins) and poudre.
Falke have pulled off some wizardry with these tights. Somehow they have found out how to make tights out of 100% nylon (excluding the waistband) that behave as though they had got 10 to 15 percent lycra in them. The cling under trousers is low.
These lovely tights are extremely finely knitted and very stretchy. They fit 6'4" with no problem, and the one I got were L, not even XL! They are also very strokable.
The illustrations show the packet that I bought a couple of years ago for £2.99 from TKMaxx, and the current packaging. (The normal retail price is £6.00.)
Overall verdict: excellent tights for spring and autumn.

I'm wearing Shelina tights at the moment, and they are definitely not
sheer-to-waist. In fact, they have a large boxer brief. Maybe this is
because I'm wearing the XL size? They sure do look good on though,
particularly on the foot!
You probably hit lucky. The XL are too big for me (6 ft) - I'll go for
large next time.
