In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Rugby Players' Secret

posted Saturday, 11 August 2007

Geradenby Geraden

Here is something I read on the sports page of bbc.co.uk. It  comes from a piece dated 10.08.2008, written by Jon Wilkin, Rugby League player and correspondent.

I would like now to let people in on a secret that rugby players have - we all wear tights on long journeys.

This is not some perverse fetish the players keep from their wives or partners, it is something which is meant to make travelling less harmful to performance.

The tights may very well reduce swelling on planes and give you a spring in your step but you come off the plane a broken man having had people stare at you like you have illicit secrets.

These tights knock your confidence and I call for them to be banned!

So, the author acknowledges the medical benefits of wearing tights, but he thinks that these he-men are so afraid of what (ill-informed) people will think, that they lose confidence (in their own masculinity?) and would like the tights to be banned!

At least the American basketball players wore their tights openly on the pitch and fought the ban imposed by their association, the NBA!

  • I often wonder if in sport .....If competitors wearing tights/pantyhose kept winning more and more races...Would they get band...Or would more people take up wearing them..

I feel they have a large part to play in sport...You see quite a lot of completive runner now wear compression sox so will there be a time when they wear a full tight/pantyhose

We have to accept that a lot of women dislike tights and of course men has the rigth to dislike tigths too. It has nothing to do with the lack of acceptance of men/women wearing tights. They just don't feel comfortable in tights.

I stopped playing rugby in my late teens to secretly go to ballet classes on saturday afternoons.Part of my interest in ballet was being able to openly wear tights in a safe accepting enviroment.I felt very guilty turning my back on my rugby friends and packing a sports bag with my black tights, ballet slippers and leotard to go to ballet but pulling on a pair of lovely lyrca tights helped me ovecome my guilt.
