Ripped jeans and tights

My friend Sal of tights-excite.com has a finely developed 'tights radar', and she can spot a male student wearing tights in her home town from half a mile away! I remember her saying recently in the chat room that men in torn jeans with tights under them, is what's in right now.

I think she might just be right! On the bus I saw a young white lad, maybe about 18, sitting in one of the front seats where you can get a good look at what someone is wearing (I love it when girls in tights sit there!)

Any way, this lad's jeans were not slashed at the knee like you sometimes see, but they had several medium-sized holes in them in different places that certainly did not look accidental. If he had been a girl, I would have looked automatically to see whether there were tights showing under the ripped denim.

But the holes in his jeans caught my eye because they were too dark for the guy's skin tone. So I looked and sure enough there was black fabric showing through the holes. He had black opaque tights on under his jeans!! Wow – one up to Sal!

I didn't know whether or not to congratulate him on his fashion choice, and maybe to show him my tights-covered ankles. After all he was a stranger and the age difference between him and me quite large, for me to be engaging him in casual conversation about hosiery. While I was thinking about it, he solved the problem for me by getting off the bus at the next stop.

But it is great if young men are not afraid to wear tights and show that they are wearing.

After all, tights were a male garment before women took them over. Don't get me wrong; I love to see women wearing tights and long may they continue to do so! But we men want to have some of the fun and the benefits of wearing tights too.
