~ Doug ~
In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Remedy for cold wet legs

posted Tuesday, 21 August 2007

by Anon

This is the first story I have received in response to my request for material. The author has asked to remain anonymous, but I am grateful for the story, which I hope you will find interesting. Keep those articles coming, please!

It was a few Mondays ago and it was raining like anything. I had to venture out to get some computer supplies and it was in this torrential rain. I set out in thick jeans, a long sleeved top and a sweatshirt as well as my large waterproof jacket. Anyway I had rang the shop up to make sure what I needed to fix my laptop was in stock. They said so, so I sucked up the courage and braved the rain! The first part from my house to the bus stop takes about a minute and I didn't get too wet. But my legs were getting a bit damp from the rain. Anyway I had to then walk across the bridges and courts to get the retail park where said shop was. Turns out they didn't have any in stock after all. So I'm now soaked to the bone (and mightily ticked off) and to make matters worse, I had to walk back straight away! So by the time I was back in the centre, I was really wet with a mood to match! My jeans were so heavy from the water I had to do something about it.

So I went to the nearest Asda, and brought a smart price pair of jeans for £3. This took care of the jeans issue but not the fact that I was bloody cold because of it. So I had a thought, to buy a pair of tights to wear under the jeans to warm up and for the trip back home. I had worn tights before, and I am a big fan of Opaques. I love the way the feel on and the thrill of putting them is nice. I prefer thicker Opaques. My girlfriend's tights had seen my legs before. Primark's 70 denier (nice) and H & M's 70 denier's were my favourite! I had also tried Topshops 80 denier 3D stretch tights in Thunder Grey (lovely and thick) but didn't have 6 quid or the patience to walk down to get some.

So anyway, I opted for a 2 pair pack of Golden Lady 50 denier Makeup tights in black. I went to the loo's in ASDA and changed into them. WOW the feeling of taking them out the packet and slipping them on was great. They looked more like 20 denier sheers than 50 denier opaques! DOH! Anyway I put my jeans back on, and got the bus home. It was a strange yet thrilling experience. I loved it

Later that week I had to return uptown for a couple of reasons and couldn't wait to try it again. The second time I brought some H and M 70 denier tights. They are so brilliant. So thick and stretchy and tight they feel lovely on. Not 100% opaque but still some brilliant tights for £3.99 I love them and cant rate them enough. This was ace. 2 times in a week. I had to go to the doctors to, so I kept them on. Brilliant and uplifting experience.

The third time came the next day. This time it was a pair Of New Look's opaque tights (no denier on packet) but they were the best ones yet. They were more opaque and I cant stress how good it felt wearing them round town under my jeans. They kept me warm and I enjoyed the feeling of them.

H and M have started stocking 100 denier tights (MMM) and New Look have 120 denier tights. Can't wait to try them out and will let the good readers of Geraden's blog know how they were. They both are sure to keep me warm and cosy whilst providing comfort and a good feeling!

This is perhaps one of the greatest weeks of my life.

Thank you for your story.

Sometimes we focus so much on wearing tights openly with shorts that we forget that wearing tights for warmth under jeans or trousers can bring about a great feeling of warmth and comfort. This summer in Britain has not been all that wonderful, so even in summer tights can be a welcome addition to the male wardrobe.

Hi and welcome - it's good to hear your story.

Your experience reminds me of how good it felt when I first tried wearing tights under jeans/trousers some years ago. I still like to wear tights under jeans etc. when it's not shorts weather.

Another lover of the thick, warm tights llike myself - we seem to be seriously outnumbered by the sheer nylon lovers. It sounds like "Anon" is at the start of a voyage of discovery. If you like them thick, mate, check out cotton and wool blends too. Not always easy to find but an absolute delight when you do.

Hi, well now you have started, why stop, there are many different styles of tights, opaques are less noticable as tights under trousers, but may be a bit warm in summer, I wear tights daily now, depanding on what I am wearing and the weather, I wear sheers to opaques, 15 den black with a business suit, opaues with casual work trousers, 7-10 den nude with casual cobat's/shorts, there are many combinations that work for different situations, don't limit yourself to one style and enjoy wearing them...

Thanks for commenting. I've got some sheers also now. Charnos Glossy 10den. They are really nice also and feel smooth and soft under trousers/jeans. I'd reccomend them. Not that glossy though I must say but good enough tights at 2 for £5 anyway.
