I have no problem going to most places in shorts with sheer tights covering my legs. It feels natural to me and my legs feel all the better for it.
On the other hand my wife cannot understand why anyone, particularly a man, would want to wear something that she hates wearing. In fact in the last five years my wife has worn tights only once - when our eldest daugher got married. (Fortunately we have 3 other children!)
So there have not been many occasions when I have been wearing tights when we have been out and about together. Usually I am asked "Are you going out like that?" And usually on such an occasion I have either removed or covered up my tights.
Yesterday we needed to get some urgent supplies from our local Sainsburys supermarket before it closed. I wqas wearing M&S light support tights in natural tan (ie not very visible) with some shorts at T-shirt, socks and shoes. We drove to the supermarket and walked round all the aisles in full view of dozens of people.
My wife must have known I was wearing tights, but neither she nor anyone else gave my legs a second glance. She briefly met (well, said 'hello' to) an acquaintance of hers, but even then I doubt whether my legs were even given a first glance, let alone a second.
Neither before, during nor after the trip did my wife say anything. Maybe sooner or later she will get used to these non-events!
