Oroblu Master 7 denier tights

I am wearing my Oroblu Master 7 denier control top tights as I type this. I was wearing some 70 den Activskin tights earlier, and I felt like changing into something lighter and finer. Well, why not? The nice Indian Summer weather we are having now in Britain is not going to last for ever.

When I opened the packet (£2.99 from TKMaxx), what struck me first was the contrast between the legs and the panty. The legs are super sheer and super fine. The panty is quite heavy and is patterned with ridges that are supposed to massage you, and small open knit squares that are said to be breathable. The tights are lovely and soft to put on, until you get to the panty. This panty must be the fiercest control top I have yet come across. Perhaps that is why the tights are called 'Master'? All I can say is that it will certainly flatten my appendix scar! And anything else that gets in its way up to the bottom of my ribcage.

Ah – you are wondering about the effects of control tops on the male equipment? The slight constriction is not a problem: like dancers and sportsmen who wear protectors, I am used to it.

The toes of the Oroblu Master tights are described as sandal toe, but in fact they are lightly reinforced. The tights are boarded (ie shaped). The seams are flat and comfortable, and there is a small cotton lined gusset. When I got my first pair I said, "At 6'4" I am probably at the extreme end of the tights' stretching capabilities, even in size XL." But having bought some more (six months later) they seem longer and fit extremely well. The legs are soft and sheer. When you wear these tights you know why girls so often stroke their legs when they are wearing!

The colour is 'plage', which is French for 'beach', and they are indeed the colour of a light beach sand - when it is dry rather than wet. You can just see the colour on the packet scan. It goes reasonably well with my skin tone, but it is ever so slightly too light and too sallow to be a close match. (As a red-head I have a the typical pinkish skin which does not tan, but develops freckles. My leg and arm hair is a ginger blond, but of course, as a tights wearer, I shave my legs.) Having said that, the colour of these tights alone would probably not make you notice that I was wearing tights, unless you happened to know what my legs are like when they are bare! You might, if you were observant, just about notice the slight sheen, but the knit is so fine as to be unnoticeable.

It is hard to say on one wearing how durable tights are. I could be proved wrong, but these seem to be quite strong for 7 denier and should (all being well) be good for a few wearings. I hope so because these are some of the best summer ultra sheer tights that I have yet tried.
