National Stockings Day

What ever happened to international men in tights day? I was unable to participate last year (Nov. 1), and I did a search, and it appears that the promoter of the day has not "planned " anything for this year. I know that some think that every day should be men in tights day, but I thought that it was a nice idea to have a day just for men wearing tights. I'm going to try my best to participate this eyar.

This sort of day sponsored by clothing firms has become a bit of a fad. Lee Jeans has also been promoting National Denim Day (meaning the American nation, I presume), and guess what, it's in aid of breast cancer. No problems with that, of course, except we're supposed to have a National Health Service that's falling down on that particular job. Oh, sorry, that's the UK, wrong nation.

Personally I can manage without all of these days, but if there was a real occasion that promoted the idea of men in tights, and we could all get together and show them off, I'd beat a path to the door!

It was nice to read the comment (posted by Acyclopath; 19 Oct 2007) regarding International Men in Tights Day (iMiTD).

I am the group/website owner of "denierskinmale" and I did post a number of weeks ago in the yahoo groups that I am a member of a message to bring iMiTD into the forefront of people's minds for 2007. Although I have not been able to spend as much time promoting this years day, I for one have defintely not forgotten about iMiTD and I'm very much looking forward to this one :o)

2007 will be the 3rd "men in tights" day and as usual I will be wearing my tights on this day, so I hope that as many guys as possible can participate this year.

I am also aware that there are many many websites and groups relating to the subject of men wearing tights but it would be great to get feedback regarding iMiTD so that we can see how many people particiipated.

I have never heard of that day before, thank you for the heads up! In my opinion this should be a national holiday!

There's not a national tights day because tights are skanky and for little girls.

Well November 1 is coming up again, is there going to be an International Men in Tights Day #4? I will probably be wearign tights under my "work clothing" as by November 1, is is usually cool enough, heck it's October 3 and I'm already wearing hose to work. In my opinion, that is the only redeming quality of cold weather, the ability to wear hoisery comfortably under my male clothing.

International Men in Tights Day #4......doesn't the time just seem to fly by. It's great to know that a suggestion I made almost four years ago is still remembered and that there are tights guys out there who make the effort (where possible) to wear their tights on November 1st. I will of course be wearing too.

Since the first Men in Tights day in 2005 this year will be the first to have fallen on a weekend so I'll have to think about doing something slightly different as the weekends are non-working days for me.

It would be good to hear how many other tights guys will wear their tights for iMiTD, although I know that there are alot of us who wear quite alot of the time.
