Geraden's Tips No. 5
Not wanting to waste an entry I wrote for another forum, I am posting this here too.
When I was younger I always used to wear pyjamas - that is how I was brought up. But cotton pyjamas bind horribly on cotton sheets, so I decided that they were not a good idea.
So I moved over to nightshirts - men's nightshirts from Marks & Spencer. At least your legs did not get all twisted up and uncomfortable. But the nightshirts were flanellette - too hot in summer.
So the next step was T-shirts in bed, which was fine, but they left your legs cold.
Then I took to wearing tights in bed with T-sirts, which solved the coolness in the legs, and they were smooth enough to glide between the sheet and the duvet without binding.
But the T-shirts still rode up in bed.
So I found the solution in a nylon lycra leotard. This completely solved the problems of cold, binding and riding up. Plus, if the tights were a little on the short side (I have very long legs) the leo would help to hold them up.
I have a variety of leotards, from long sleeved for winter to sleeveless for summer days when it is just a bit too cool to wear nothing thoughout the night.
