In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Geraden's Blog needs You

posted Monday, 20 August 2007

Geradenby Geraden

Readers may have noticed that there have been fewer entries here recently than there were in the past. Many of the reasons for this are personal.

Irrespective of personal reasons, the effort required to maintain this blog is quite considerable and not easy to keep up. However, with about 1,400 hits per day, interest in this blog continues to suggest that it is serving a need, and would probably continue to do so, even if there were no fresh entries.

I personally cannot guarantee to keep a steady flow of new material in the way which I did in the past.

So I am asking those who have enjoyed reading this blog to consider putting a bit back, by sending in something for publication.

Pictures are welcome, but not essential. Please bear in mind the clean and family friendly nature of this site, and that it is about men and women wearing tights / pantyhose for fashion, health, comfort and warmth!

You can read guidance on contributions to this blog here. Please send contributions to me by e-mail

Hi Geraden ! , First off all , Thankyou for producing such an interesting site ! . Now if i may , Please may i leave a comment about one of your ' blog's '. It is in your introduction about yourself - where you describe the reasons why YOU wear tights , all fine and good , except you mention that you are ' straight' and not gay ,by doing this , in a way , you seem to suggest that if all gay people wear tights that is a fair assumption to make , even as it being the norm.....Well i'm gay & i wear tights & i'd just like to say , that i too face the same 'disdain' and 'horror' from the ' gay world' , as you do in the ' straight world ' , So my point is , it really DOESN'T matter , whether you are gay or straight ,men wearing tights , all face the SAME uphill battle , for acceptance etc , Thanks John

Hi John

Thank you for your comment. You and I do not make the mistake of thinking that because a man wears and likes to wear tights he must be gay.

However I am afraid that a lot of people do subscribe to this line of reasoning, which I call the 'gay myth'. So many do so that I find it necessary to point out from time to time (a) that people are wrong if they think I am gay or have any homosexual inclinations and (b) that the incidence of hosiery wearing among gay men is very much less than it is a among straight men.

I know that gays who wear tights have a hard time in the gay world. They have the mistaken stigma of abnormality. Straight men who wear tights have this as well, and in addition their sexual orientation is often called into question, which in this context is hardly a mark of approval!

We need to educate people, whether they are straight or gay, that sexual orientation and a love of hosiery are completely separate things.
