Thank you for telling your story, Wolford's. What struck me was how different it was from mine, and yet we have ended up in more or less the same place as committed tights wearers. I hope this gives encouragement to the ever-growing number of readers of this blog. Where I agree with you and maybe haven't made this clear, is how much I have always liked to see women's legs in good quality tights! Geraden

i have been wearing tights for a long time mostly in my bedroom or under my trousers. i recently bought a pair of 70 denir tights in tesco and soon as i buy them i went to the toilet to put them on they were great

Thank you, Mr. Jones, for your comment. I cannot think why it was repeated twelve times in all, but I have deleted eleven of them!

I could not wear 70 denier tights with trousers in this hot weather - that is what I do in winter. But Tesco's opaques are not all that bad, really. Once I got a 3 pair pack on clearance for £1.50.

I too have been wearing support tights for the past five years on my doctor's recommendation. I had been suffering from acheing legs/pins-and-needles for fifteen years prior to this. The cause, I believe was in standing on a narrow runged ladder for long periods of time when decorating the outside of my house, without wearing the proper shoes.

Initial visits to the doctor and nurologist didn't solve the problem (they even tested me for MS). I was told that I'd have to live with the problem. I eventually looked at the internet and found that support tights might help. I mentioned this to my doctor, who said that if they helped to allieviate the problem then I should wear them.

The result is that after four years of regular wearing my constant leg aches and pins-and-needles have dissappeared. To think that I'd suffered for all those years when M&S support tights was all I needed.

Suffice to say, I've tried all sorts of tights and found all of them to be very comfortable. More importantly, I wear throughout the Autumn/Winter/Spring to ensure that my previous discomfort is keep well and truly at bay.

Thank you for a very good comment. It is an excellent reminder of the fact that men wear tights for all sorts of reasons, and the medical benefits are an important factor for many people. That applies to women as well as to men of course.

I have read a story very much like yours before in another forum – maybe it was you, or maybe the experience is not all that uncommon, even if men are often shy of bringing such things into the open. However I do think it was probably you, because of the ladder (no pun intended!)

Like you I am a great fan of Marks & Spencer and I think that their support tights are very good. I have all three kinds in my tights drawer and I often wear a pair if I feel the need. I get cramps in my left calf muscle if I don't wear tights. When I went to the doctor about it, he said it was 'stress', but I don't buy that. However some people have said that wearing tights can relieve stress at a psychological level as well as a physical level. Anyway, for whatever reason tights work for me and keep away the aches and pains.

Tights have benefits for anyone, male or female, who works outdoors, or has to do a lot of standing or walking. I often stand at draughty bus stops waiting for buses that are usually late, and I am so glad of the layer of nylon under my trousers. 7 denier in the summer, up to 100 denier in the winter!

I have rather gone off long trousers, except for work. The best thing, if it is not too cold, is to wear shorts with tights. I do this all the time at home: it just feels so right!

I have been wearing leotards tights and pantyhose since i was 6 years old My sister used to dress me in her ballet outfits and play house. I shave my legs and crotch area every day and I wear pantyhose tights under my clothes every day when I am alone I will put on red toe nail polish and black tights and black leotard and I love the feel and look. I wish I knew some one with the same likes as me John

Very interesting my husband also wears tights and has done for many years, he finds the open crotch tights the most comfortable and hygienic. Although it sounds weird and probably is, when I see him in them it excites me!
