At the end of September I received an e-mail from a Canadian journalist, David Sanderson. Part of what he said was:
Hi - I'm putting together a story for the Winnipeg Free Press re: men's tights. There was a fashion report earlier in the year that they would be all the rage this fall; I'm looking around and not seeing a whole lot. Just wondering if I can ask you some questions on the topic - I'd like to refer to your Q&A re: Men's tights
I replied that I would be happy to answer some questions if he sent them to me, however I heard nothing further from him.
Now I see that the article has been written and published in the Winnipeg Free Press. You can read it here: the great tights hope. The sub heading says: 'Fashion watchers claimed that hose for men were the next big thing, so when are guys going to show a little leg?'
There is quite a nice picture in the article, but for some reason it does not render in Internet Explorer, though you can see it in Mozilla Firefox.
The author seems a little disappointed that the male tights revolution has not yet taken off. However he does give a plug for unjeans.com as a supplier of men's legwear.
Given that Winnipeg is in quite a cold part of the world, I would have thought that, if nothing else, there would be something on the thermal benefits of men wearing tights as underwear.
My hopes of a link to this blog were likewise not to be realised!

It is good to see that tights for men are at least being discussed openly
in the general media without ridicule.
i think men and boys wearing tights outside will be the norm in the near
future. the comfort of wearing them are great..more mothers and wives
should encourage their sons and husbands to wear them. they look very
dressey and comfortable. surprise your son and husband with a pair for his
birthday and seewhat happens.they will never go out and buy a pair
themselves...besides, tights were invested for men and boys centuries ago.
