Googly

One of the nice things that Blog-City provides for its members is a statistics page. You can see where your site has been accessed from. For visitors to the site, there is a very much shorter version (called 'Top Referrers') in the right hand gutter here. Geraden's site has been going for just over three weeks and has clocked up well over 600 hits. One of them was from a Google search for 'tights' and 'excite' (no quotation marks). I decided to re-perform the search, and well, was I shocked or what? This site came top!!

Oops!! Geraden has bowled a Googly here – this was not meant to happen! I mean, I am glad my site is top, but when the official tights-excite.com site is found by Google at no. 85 of 'about 2,940', all I can do is apologise to my good friend Sal who owns that site!!

Now here is the tights-exciting news! Sal has given me permission to link to her site officially and she has promised a short article for this site to introduce herself and her site, both of which are absolutely lovely.

I shall be working on putting up a proper link soon, but for now what I want you to do, please, is to pay a visit to Sal's site. Look at the articles (including the hilarious Mike and Olga column), browse the galleries, check out the forum where you can post messages and join in the chat room.

If you all do that, maybe, just maybe, Sal will forgive me for beating her to the number 1 spot on Google. It will also help tights-excite.com to move up the ranking, so I don't expect to stay at No 1 for long!

A word about the chat room: it is the nicest hosiery chat room that I have yet found on the web and the regulars are all great people, but some times are more popular than others for chat. The best time is from about 10:30pm UK time. I do hope you will join in, so long as you are polite and constructive. I'm sorry I have to say something as basic and obvious as that, but I am afraid some of the comments lately on this site have not been polite or constructive.
