Trying tights made abroad have always been an excitement for me. Since I have Internet I had the opportunity to try tights from UK, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, USA, Australia, both in the fashion and ballet department. I even once ordered tights from South Korea. It was not a positive experience given the average korean woman is smaller than an european one; as a result, the fitting was not ideal.

I remember I made an exchange with an american couple consisting of a pair of Victoria's Secret tights against a lot of DIM tights of the same value. This time, I have not be disappointed as VS's were in the same league than Wolford's, I mean a very high quality. These tights were comparable to Wolford's Neon Glanz, to give you an idea. I laddered them stupidly because my shoes were old and a nail happened to show its sharp end. It was a real shame, as VS tights are extremely hard to find in Europe, and the prohibitive shipping cost prevents me to order them from the site. Anyway, it was a very positive experience.

From the USA, the easiest way to order tights is to shop from a ballet shop. I recommend Danskin and Capezio, especially the aerobic tights. These brands can also be purchased under our latitudes but they are sold at a much higher price than in the USA.

I am happy to hear that you found the Vogue Pleasure 30 tights pleasurable. I find them comfortable, and, above all, very durable. That’s why I sent them for a critical Geraden test. Usually I am too polite tell the prize of the gifts to my friends, but this is an exception. Those tights are 12.90 € on the Finnish market, i.e. they cost as much as a pair of Falke’s (I don’t know what that is converted to £).

Today I also received your packet. The whole family was curious to know what inside the envelope. Thank you so much for the Charnos, Aristoc and La Perla tights! Today evening my wife and I will go to a ball and I will put on one of my new British tights. Let’s see what they look like after 15 times on the dance floor.

The tights I sent you are lighter in denier than the ones you sent me, so you will have to be careful! I have not tried the Aristoc ones, but the Charnos I know to be excellent.

Of course La Perla are Italian, not British: I sent you those as a bonus - I bought 6 pairs thinking they were an excellent bargain. But they did not fit me, and I have now given most of them away.

At the current rate of exchange, the Vogue Pleasure 30 tights would be £8.69, which is about the price of Falke tights, so my comparison was not too inaccurate on the price front!
