In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Gerbe Drain'Up 40

posted Friday, 20 July 2007

Bozemanby Bozeman

Thanks to my friend Bozeman for this review of the new Gerbe Drain'Up 40 denier support tights for men. I am grateful for his explanation of the curious name. Don't the French know that if you drain something, it goes down, not up?
Look out for these tights on Bozeman's site in the near future.

I received a sample pair of the new Gerbe Men Drain'Up 40's from the manufacturer a couple of days ago. These are the new support tights for men from the leading French manufacturer. The slightly odd name is meant to imply that they improve circulation in the legs.

Gerbe for men - generic image

Out of the packet, they are beautifully made, with the usual Gerbe attention to detail. They have the same type of male centre panel with fly as the other Gerbe men's products, with flat seams and wide 'signature' waistband. They are 40 denier, come in black only, and have 26% double-covered Lycra. They are sheer to waist (no 'boxer' type reinforced brief), are slightly shiny in appearance, and very nearly opaque. They have the standard-issue (for Gerbe anyway) reciprocated heel and reinforced toe.

So much for appearances, but what do you get for your hard-earned £26.99 per pair? Quite simply, the most awesome men's tights ever. Admittedly, I did find they were a little bit of a struggle to put on the first time - they are VERY tight - but once on, they are SO comfortable, and the initial impression of tightness disappears. I wore them for 16 hours straight, and they felt just as good at the end of it as when I first put them on. I love these tights - they are the BEST! They just fit like no other. They don't move from where you put them; they just stay put. And they make your legs feel so good - no hint of tiredness at the end of the day.

Gerbe told me that people often complain about the price, until they try a pair, and then they are hooked, much as I am. I can't over-emphasise this - you MUST try these - you won't regret it!

We should get them into stock in the next few weeks.

Gerbe are right about Drain Ups. I was lucky and managed to find a few sets on sale and decided to try a couple of pairs - the same day they arrived I went back and bought up the remaining stock in my size and have since ordered more direct from Gerbe (excellent service, by the way). These tights are a bind to put on as they are definitely tight, but once on they stay up in place all day and keep your legs lovely and fresh. If they are on show you may need to be careful when putting them on to get them evenly stretched and hence an even shade. The colours choice is reasonable (but I would like to see more) and I have noticed a slight difference in feel between the colours and supply batch, some are silky smooth and others are a little coarser, but they all feel great on. Totally recommended, definitely my favourite opaque tights ever, no question.
