In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.
~ 2craze2 ~
@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...
~ 2craze2 ~
Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Geradenby Geraden

This blog is a clean, non-fetish site that promotes and supports the wearing of tights (pantyhose if you like) by men. All contributions to the blog are accepted in accordance with this general policy.

Variety

This started out as a one man effort, and it is an effort, I can assure you!  But I believe that a variety of viewpoints and writing styles adds to the interest. It also saves me from having to think up something new to say every so often! I therefore welcome contributions from other people. You do not have to agree with me on everything, just follow a few simple guidelines.

General Guidelines

This blog is about men wearing tights as part of their normal male attire. It is not about cross-dressing, wearing skirts, heels, leotards, one piece swimsuits or anything like that. To avoid confusion to casual visitors about the purpose of the blog, any contribution or image which includes such material will be posted in the private members section. That way it can still be seen, but only by those who have taken the trouble to qualify for membership.

I do not usually have more than one entry per day - I think it is better to spread entries out and fill as many of the dates on the calendar as possible.

Blog entries should ideally be between 500 and 1,000 words long. This is just a guideline. If what you want to say takes many more than 1,000 words, please consider splitting it up into sections. That way you will fill a slot for more than one day!

Comments

Anyone can comment on entries or leave messages on the blog board, so long as they are clean and relevant. Spam is not allowed. It will be removed and reported to Blog-City who host this blog.

The comment function uses wiki markup syntax, not HTML. Basic guidance is provided: you can do simple formatting and include links. You cannot upload images in a comment. If you want an image in your comment, send it to me and I will insert it.

Guest entries

Guest entries are entries sent in by correspondents (by e-mail). They are published by me, but with your own by-line. If you don't know what a by-line is, look at the very top of this entry, where it says 'by Geraden'. It helps if you tell me what you want to put in your by-line (name, nickname, etc).

I have started putting avatars in the by-line on blog entries. If any of my additional posters and guest contributors would like to send me an avatar in jpg format I will be happy to use it on your contributions. (Avatars will be 50px by 50px - I will re-size if necessary. )

Additional Posters

These are people who have the ability to write and publish entries of their own without my intervention. Since additional posters have access to many of the admin functions of the blog, I need to be sure of you before I give you additional poster status. You can only become an additional poster by invitation.

Additional posters are requested to post occasionally! (If you don't post, what is the point?) Once a month should be sufficient to convince me of your continued interest and support. Your blog entries should fit the house-style template.

I will tell you when I am going to be way on holiday - contributions while I am away will be specially appreciated! Additional posters are also requested to keep an eye on the blog and remove or edit any comments that breach these guidelines. (I wish I could give you access to do the same on the blog-board, but unfortunately I cannot.)

Images

Images help to brighten up the appearance of the blog and add to the overall interest. Pictures of men (and women) wearing tights can help to reassure people that tights are good looking legwear for both sexes, and can encourage both sexes to wear, and can help men in particular to be confident in their wearing. We should not be ashamed of what we are doing, so I prefer pictures to show the whole of a person. There may sometimes be good reasons to focus in more closely on the legs. It is not absolutely essential for the face to be shown, but I think it is preferable, for the reason I have mentioned.

Photos and other images can be supplied by contributors so long as they are not copyright by someone else, and are in accordance with the general ethos of the blog. Explicit or near-explicit images (of either sex) are not allowed. Images which have merit but are borderline or off-topic may be published in a private entry.

Links

Links to sites whose purpose is pornographic or fetish are not allowed. As blog owner I have the final say on which links are allowed and which are not.

Language

Entries should normally be in English! I am willing to help anyone who has difficulty with the language. If you wish to post in another language, somehow or other there should be a translation. I can manage to translate from French and German.

Corrections

My general policy with contributions is to correct anything that is obviously spelled wrongly or where there appears to be an unintentional mistake in the grammar: I mean where it seems likely that the writer knew the correct grammatical form and intended to use it. Where a so-called grammatical 'error' seems to be part of a contributor's style I am much less likely to change anything.

In the case of a non-native English speaker I will usually leave occasional mistakes in idiom alone, so long as the meaning is clear. The exception would be where I have been asked to correct the idiom, or where the problem is so severe that it spoils the reader's ability to enjoy the contribution. In such cases I will send a proposed corrected version to the author for approval.

Hello from across the big pond. I just recieved an order from "No nonsence.com" I ordered their "Smart support in STW". I just thought I would review this product. For the money, they are great! Not the quality of european tights, i.e. no flat seams etc. but dollar for dollar/pound for pound a great value. great feel and fit. I'm 6ft1 and 300 lbs. and ordered size "D". Very nice light sheen and fair compression. Not medical by any means but still noticible. My dear friend Geraden, Try these and post your review. I think you will give them a positive vote.

Hi Rick

Comments are the life blood of this blog, so thank you for yours.

Living in Britain, I do not have easy access to the No-nonsense brand. I have heard them spoken highly of.

So why don't you do a review and send it in for publication? If you could send me a packet scan to go with it, that would be great. (See Contacts page.)

The same goes for anyone else who wants to review their favourite tights, whether or not they are available in Britain or not.

Regards

Geraden

Hello Rick, and welcome to this blog !

I just wanted to rectify an error that you made about the site address : http://www.nononsense.com/

As Geraden said, this brand is not available in Europe, whichever in Britain or in France, where Geraden and I live respectively. On the other hand, we would enjoy to read a review of your own.
