Tights in Cold Weather

Here are my 2 cents worth about tights. Personally though I don't wear tights, perhaps it must have been the society in the east Asian country where it is not feasible.
Even though I have tried long johns before when I was doing my undergraduate studies years ago when I was in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I do understand the need of such garment when it comes to extreme temperature where it may fall to -38c at times. During my stay there I have also noticed may people from different ages and sexes come to wear tights, firstly for cold prevention purposes and secondly people wanted to look good.
As reader to your blog I sense much "bias" among people with something that they are not familiar with or something that we do not see much in our everyday life such as men wearing tights. Again lets go get back to my undergraduate years, when you're at a bar or a pub, people do not make fun of you nor give you jeering faces when they notice that you're wearing tights (men's or ladies'), as they themselves are aware of the minute cold that penetrates your open flesh, its like a needle to your skin, no joke.
Talking about cold temperature, many people have not realize that cold temperature alone, sometimes down to -25c can be tolerated but not with the windchill factor playing around. Say you're wearing reasonable pants and a jacket waiting for a bus at -10c with breezing winds up to 50mph (that's like -35c), you're going to feel a hell lot colder. With such a cold climate people wear double or triple layers of clothing just to keep warm and a slight adjustment of colors including tights to get along with fashion.
After much reading from your blog and other blogs in the website with regarding undergarments, again as of my own view, there's not going to be a trend where majority of men in a city will wear tights simply because peoples mind are stick to the fact that women only wear tights and that's that.
For those men who wears tights in public or private places, they will set a lead for those men not wearing tights to think twice upon wearing one in the near future. For I'm pretty sure that deep down in their hearts, mmmm the good feeling of putting some on but are too busy or shy walking to the store to get some. And with fingers crossed, that they (men) do get some in the near future, then and only then there will be a chain reaction and hopes to see men in tights will be brighter.

People wear tights in California when they are totally not needed. I
wonder if it messes with their body temperatures too much.
