It still allow in the UK to wear anything - no illegal, maybe depend on country, I was wear tights and denim mini skirt that seem to be allow in public Ive wearing many time as cops passing me without stop or ask anything
~ Doug ~
In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

I have been wearing Charnos Light Fantastic this week. These are nice 7 denier tights, and in the XL size they come up long enough even for my 36" legs. They provide little friction under trousers, and for a 7-den non-support tight, they provide just a little bit of compression to make legs feel good. They are my favourite ultra-sheer tights. Normally they are priced at £3.00, but they have been discontinued and I managed to get quite a few pairs for £1.50 or even £1.00 on clearance at TKMaxx.

CLFLast Saturday I washed three pairs. Monday I wore a pair. When I got home, there was a very large hole at the top of my left leg. Tights in the bin after two wearings!

Tuesday I wore a second pair. When I got home, there was a very large hole at the top of my left leg. Again, tights in the bin after two wearings. I checked the inside of my trousers, but found nothing that would account for these two sad deaths.

Yesterday I wore the third pair. I checked regularly and I noticed that something had been rubbing in the same place where the last two pairs failed. More careful investigation revealed that deep inside one of the seams in the crotch area there was a piece of curly plastic, like a miniature telephone cord, with a rough end. I quickly removed a length of this. This seems to have caught the problem just in time! There is a small hole and a short ladder, but an aerosol application of artist's fixative lacquer will probably prevent disaster for a time. (Unlike nail varnish, that method of damage limitation is completely invisible.)

TransparentMoral of the story: you can never be too careful, especially with ultra-sheers!

Charnos have recently introduced a replacement for Light Fantastic, called Transparent. They cost £4.00 as oppposed to LF costing £3.00. I can't tell you what they are like yet, because they are still in the packet. They have 16% lycra instead of the 12% of LF. The other specs look similar.

Sorry to hear about your disasters Geraden.

  • I still have my first pair of tights. Leggs SEAS in off black. Its the ones I wore to a family reunion. They are still going and they have allot of wearing on them, around 65 times+ I bought them in March 2003. I will be sad when they have to go. I love my tights to much to have to let them go. I also have my first pair of ActivSkins. Not as in a good condition as the Legg's but still going.

  • Keep wearing and be happy.......I sure do..
