In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

BHS opaques

posted Wednesday, 26 September 2007

Geradenby Geraden

I looked in my drawer for some tights to wear with shorts while working in the garden.  I wanted some cheap ones, but not cheap and nasty. I came across these BHS 60 denier opaques, which I bought about 18 months ago when BHS were having a bit of a sale. They were £1.50, reduced from £3.00.

BHS 60 den opaquesI bought two pairs in size XL: one in burgundy and one in grey, and I have more or less ignored them since then.  It was the grey pair that I found and wore today in the garden. I looked in vain for the burgundy pair. I know I did wear them once (and probably only once) and I am fairly sure I have not thrown them away. I have come to the conclusion that I must have given them to a friend who likes that colour.

It is a shame that I only got two pairs to start with, and now only have one, because they are really very nice, as well as being good value.

The grey pair that I still have is a very dark grey - if these were sheers they would probably be called barely black.

They are microfibre opaque tights with 6% lycra. They have a gusset, a slightly reinforced panty but no reinforcement in the toe.  The waist is medium high and the feel of the tights is soft and silky. They fit very well.

On the down side I noted a little barré effect, and the lack of reinforcement in the toe is probably not a good idea, though to be fair they have not yet gone in holes.

I also wore these tights, still with shorts, when I took the green garden waste to the local recycling centre. There were quite a few people disposing of rubbish at the tip, as well as the site employees. Even though the tights were completely obvious and noticeable, I was not aware of a reaction from anyone - I have found if you just act normally and confidently no one really cares what you wear on your legs.
