~ Doug ~
In the US it's illegal to be dressed indecently, but not illegal to crossdress. Also, where would you draw the line? Some people might claim that all the boys wearing girls skinny jeans are crossdressing.
~ Rod ~
is it legal to crossdress when outside as a female
~ Andy M ~
epilators have been suggested. I've just bought a Braun and done my first epilate session. So far so good, but still a long way from hair free legs (which are essential for any tights wearing!!!)
~ Adrian ~
With winter on the way I shall be cutting down on heating bills by wearing opaque tights with a wool kilt.

@badleg: Try Elbeo Sheer Magic or Elbeo Caresse. Size XL is available. They really do help...

Ordered some tights from Emilio Cavallini, they're great! Good stretch, warm, opaque. Good replacement for my regular sock-wearing.

Accepted? - I'll settle for being understood

My reply to Mike (Lycra_One's) post brought forth this response from the man himself:

Geraden - No matter how much you blog, I am convinced you are never going to accept yourself wearing hosiery. Gaining acceptance from my wife, friends, family, and coworkers started with gaining acceptance from myself. Good luck with your blog, my friend. I think that's about as close to acceptance as you'll ever get with your attitude. "Hey it's written on the internet, it must be ok." I don't need a blog, or this forum, to wear pantyhose - all it took was honesty with myself. Mike

My reply to Mike was:
Mike
You completely misunderstand me.
I accept myself wearing hosiery.
My wife does not. Simple.
I do not need the stuff on the internet to validate my wearing. Dammit, I write stuff on the internet to support others!
I will say no more, lest I say something I shall regret.

You are right - it is not always up to us who accepts us. My Ex did not accept my wanting to wear tights and pantyhose but my new partner has no problem with it. We have been together almost eight years now. She doesn't find it attractive but understands that it is the way I dress at times. Usually at the end of the day I will cook dinner while in tights and t-shirt and spend the rest of the evening that way. In the morning I walk our two labs in the back of our property with tights, shorts and a sweater or t-shirt. The other thing about her is she would rather me be comfortable in myself than miserable and not myself. She has always known that I wear tights and pantyhose and has never tried to change me. Guess confidence is one thing but true acceptance for who you are is an other. I consider myself a lucky guy some days. Most days I wish it was easier for us all. And I do mean all that are marginalized in any way.

Jeff

Hi Jeff

Thanks for your comment. Confidence and acceptance are like opposite sides of the same coin. As you say, if you are confident, you are more likely to be accepted. (Maybe it does not apply in the domestic situation though?)

I see that you have started a blog - good luck! It looks good, and I shall be interested to see more as you add content to it.

Best wishes

Geraden

Mike sounds like the type of guy who would tell a person with a chemical imbalance that he doesn't need meds to help him - all he needs is spirit and confidence! Jeez Louise, God spare us his type. It's great that he's so confident, but to wish to deny others a "meeting place" to build confidence in tights-wearing is plain rude. It also ignores human nature. We like to know that there are others who accept us and share our likes/choices. We can't all live in a solitary bubble of shining confidence like Mike the Superhuman.

Keep up the great work, G.
