Just found your site and a very interesting read. I am 60, male , and have been wearing tights for comfort and warmth for many years. The trouble is there are lots of fetish sites about guys in hose and I think that is why we all get tarred with the same brush! but as an alternative to long johns, they are brilliant! Although, personally I would not wear tights with shorts, NOT because I think there is anything wrong with that, just that if I am warm enought for shorts, then I don't need tights. I will say that my legs would look better if I did, more shape and definition. Keep up the good work!

Just found your site and I am glad to see others of a like mind.

I started wearing tights because of my eczema, my wife suggested it might help me stop scratching my legs, and it has - they work fantastically.

But I have since noticed that tights make sense as a basic garment of clothing in so many ways - they are comfortable, warming, protect from woolen trousers etc.

I hope it becomes a more socially acceptable garment of clothing for men as it makes so much sense.

Glad you like the site. I have never heard of that reason for wearing tights, but if it works, why not?

But have you noticed that girls who are wearing tights stroke their legs much more (and even scratch them lightly) than girls who have bare legs? Same applies to me, too!

I had a few extra minutes to read your site today, and noticed on this entry that you say that tights (hoisery) will protect against insect bites. I was thinking of wearing hoisery this spring/summer while hiking to prevent tick bites. I thought that even if they do bite, the tick will come off when you take off the hose.

Just looked back in here and read Steve's comment about ezema, or however it is spelt! ( sorry) What Steve says is true, I get small patches of it on my legs Tights put a layer between my legs and my trousers, so they don't rub my ezma as I walk

I was worried at first when my fiance told me that he wore pantyhose under his uniform. And then I realized all the times that I run up and down the stairs carrying laundry and put myself in his pants when he has to carry things back and forth from his truck. I started to wear my pantyhose not just for work, but while doing chores. WOW! What a difference. I went out a bought my man some more stockings and me some boudoir-style, and then suggested a girdle when he hurt his hip. We were back to normal activities in less time than doctors say for a bruised hip. Now, I wear his T-shirts and sometimes his pants. Hurray for progression!

Cool picture you got it with black tights - do you wear short or skirt?? yes it not about wear as women - it just we like to wear to feel good, protect against bugs that bit my legs as there some red spots that why i wear to keep the bug away also help my leg from muscle waste. I have lots pairs of black tights cos i love it to wear as it feel so goooooood :)

Martin Thanks for your comment. It is true that the picture is unclear as to what I am wearing over my tights. It does look a bit like a skirt, but in fact I am wearing a pair of shorts. I do not wear skirts: I have no objection in principle, but it is hard enough (i.e. bordering on impossible) to get toleration for wearing tights and shorts, so a skirt would definitely be a step too far.

Thanks -- yes have to be careful if wear skirt but no law against men wearing skirt or anything it still can allow to wear with tights - it nice when air flow through the body. your webiste still much excellent that I like to see all this... it so cool, I have shorts and skirts so it depend when wear to look nice that same as normal clothes. :)

it doesnet matter which one you wear with tights - either shorts or skirt - shorts are 2 legs and skirt is one legs so both still cool with any type of tights -- I used tights all time cos it so goooood to feel and wear skirt. :)
